Format Your Motorcycle Blog the Right Way
The reality is the majority of people that go to your website and look at your motorcycle blog will never actually read your blog post. While this is true, it doesn’t mean that you can’t take steps to increase the number of people that do take the time to read your blog. You need to make it easy for people to read your blog. Because the reality is that most people won’t make it past the title. Then the majority of those that do make it to the article don’t make it past the intro or fold. The fold is the bottom point of the screen that requires people to scroll to see more.
Use Headers And Subheaders
Think of headers as the road signs to your blog. They guide people through your blog, so they know what to expect and what each section is going to be about. Do you need to use H2 headers for your main topic titles? The title of your motorcycle blog is the only thing that should be categorized as H1. Under your H2 headers, you should use progressively smaller headers to further define each section. Try not to go much lower than H3 or H4. Once you get smaller than this, you have too many headers, and your article will start to look cluttered.

Keep Your Blog Narrow
Don’t keep your motorcycle blog at full-screen width; this is too wide to try and read back-and-forth across the screen. As you reach the right side of the screen you’ve lost where you are on the left side. This will cause you to constantly search for the next line of text when you go back to the left. When you make it difficult for the reader to keep track of where they are, they get frustrated and will give up quickly. This is a simple setting that you can adjust within your blog by changing the template of the pages. If it looks like the screen is too wide, make it so you can add a sidebar as you see on this page.

Shorten Your Paragraphs
Huge blocks of text are intimidating for people. They get discouraged and give up before they even start. So make your articles friendly and easy to digest by keeping your paragraphs limited to two or three sentences Max. Notice how I keep things short in this article? You flow from one thought to the next, with each one separated into a quick paragraph.
Display Data Visually
Numbers don’t mean much when you can’t visualize their magnitude. Using data to back up your claims is great. But you need to help the reader to fully understand what the numbers mean. Any time you can visually show your data, do it. Maybe this is creating a graph for the change in motorcycle values or sale prices. Or perhaps you want to compare the performance of two bikes. If you create an infographic, this can be an easy way for your reader to see and share your data.
Use Lists
Which you rather read, large blocks or paragraphed text or a quick list? The best content uses both a list and short paragraphs. A list gives the reader a fast and easy to understand answer. They can read and digest the information without having to work at finding it in the text. You could use bullet points or numbered lists. One thing to note, though. If your title has a number in it, then you should number your headers in the text. The title sets the reader up to look for “x” number. Numbering your headers makes it easy for the reader to navigate your blog post.

Choose Engaging Photos
Does anyone genuinely enjoy looking at crappy pictures? I sure don’t. Entice your readers by using beautiful images. Make sure your pictures make sense with the content. Pictures of kittens or puppies are adorable but would be completely irrelevant in this blog post. Once you have the right subject matter, look at the focus. Don’t use blurry or out of focus images for your motorcycle blog. Next, look at the lighting. Your pictures need to have enough exposure to see what the picture is of, but not so bright as to wash it out.
